Avada claims that it is the number 1 selling WordPress theme of all time. False claim for sure, but a number of sales is impressive.

About Avada Theme

Avada WP Theme is the outcome of a simple thought process of two freelancers – Mohammed Haris and Luke Beck.

It was back in 2011 when both of them decided to work as partners in designing and developing WordPress themes on ThemeForest.

With innovative and creative skills and constant efforts, the duo started their first ThemeFusion project in March 2012 and finally launched their biggest work as Avada in August 2012.

Avada enjoys a huge customer support of more than 275,000 users today. Not only that, but ThemeFusion has sold more than $5 million worth of items so far.

What we Liked

While the features list of Avada is huge, there are the 3 key things worth recommending about this amazing theme:

• Avada comes loaded with a multitude of options allowing you to add almost any element to your website whether or not you are aware of the coding know-how.
• It is a powerful theme coded really well that loads fast and is compatible with all modern browsers.
• Offers various demo pages and pre-loaded setups with the ease of a one-click installation.

What We Didn’t like

• Avada isn’t suitable for those who want to create a simple website or a simple blog. In such cases, the multi-purpose nature of Avada can go to waste and the various configuration options will create more friction than they will provide value.
• Avada is a premium that needs stable servers as memory usage can create complex issues for some hosting providers. It is advisable to choose a good hosting company to make the best use of Avada.

Avada Speed and Performance

This is my only website that I have ever designed and managed.

I am not an expert in coding or technical language.

My simple criteria for judging the speed and performance of a WordPress theme is based on 4 main points.

• The back-end processing and management should be easy, smooth and error free – when I am in WP admin panel.
• The front end display and final presentation to the visitors should be good quality and error-free.
• Smooth interface and welcoming environment for plugins and other additions to the theme.
• The website should load fast and perform responsively on different devices for a great user experience for blog readers.
